I watch many of the talk shows on Fox, CNN and MSNBC (while holding my nose). There are so many different Democrat and Republican "strategists" on these shows that it is a wonder our unemployment rate isn't closer to 5%. They seem to number in the thousands and most of them would be lost without their talking points.
Three of the most common themes given by the liberals in support of this idiotic, non-stimulative, $900 billion pork barrel bill are:
1. "
The Enemy of the Good is the Perfect." I have heard this so many times that it MUST be a Democratic talking point. The rationale is that we can't have a perfect bill, so we should just settle for any bill.
What the liberals really mean:
"This bill includes a bunch of liberal, entitlement crap, it is far from perfect, but it is better than nothing. The electorate will be impressed by the size of the bill, not its merits."
2. "
We Have to Do Something". This is another moronic reason given by the left wing fringe.
What the liberals really mean:
"What's a few hundred billion when we are already broke anyway? Our constitutents are stupid and we can always bame Bush for this mess we are in."
3.
"We Won the Election. Get Over It". I've heard Nancy "Two Heartbeats Away" Pelosi use this quote several times. Liberal windbag Eleanor Clift uses it all the time on
The McLaughlin Report when she can't use facts to support her stupid arguments
.
What the liberals really mean:
"We could care less about what is good for the country. We want to get re-elected and our supporters love big government because most of them don't have to pay taxes to support these idiotic spending binges.
